Hello. Today I went to Yorkshire Wildlife Park with the family for my sister’s birthday celebration.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park
We walked around entire park, saw a lot of different animals you normally wouldn’t see in Europe such as gigantic giraffes, spotted hyenas, lions, apes, etc … it was a half day spent well. Then we went to Bulgarian cuisine in Doncaster. The place is called Vitosha. The name itself is great and brought me my triumphant memories when I climbed mount Vitosha in Bulgaria in late May / early June.
Anyway, the drive was fine, only half an hour to get to Doncaster. At £29 per ticket for a full day of amazing sights is a real deal. Of course, we had to walk around 3-4 miles perhaps around entire park. We started at Atlantic Forest and then proceeded over to Point Lobos. Then we went through Himalayan Pass into Experience Ethiopia.
Then we proceeded through Leopard Heights, Into Africa. Woodland Trail and then Lion Country (yes, I saw lions!). Next – Amazonas to Project Polar where I saw polar beers. Yes, polar beers where there was 0 snow! They were some huge animals, certainly wouldn’t want to face the polar beer when the guy is angry. Then we went to the land of Tiger. We made quite a circle in the area but couldn’t see any tigers. The park may not even have any of the tigers? xD
We got back to Experience Ethiopia and proceeded going though the Pangea. The dinosaurs within the area were real size dinosaurs. Did you know that T-Rex could weigh up to 7,000 kgs? That’s 7 tons of meat!
Vitosha Bulgarian Cuisine
Then we went to this Vitosha Bulgarian cuisine to finish off the day. Of course, I ordered more than I could eat. For £14 you can order 2 massive sausages and 2 huge beat balls with chips and salad. The full is very close to my heart (we, Lithuanians and Bulgarians share very similar cuisine). So I loved the food and beer was good too!
